As a Timber Workshop Hand, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our timber workshop, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality timber products. This role requires a combination of manual dexterity, woodworking expertise, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Timber Processing:
Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, including saws, planers, and sanders.
Prepare and cut timber according to specified dimensions and designs.
Ensure precision and accuracy in all timber processing tasks.
Assembly and Finishing:
Assemble timber components to create finished products, such as furniture or construction materials.
Apply finishes, such as varnish or paint, to enhance the appearance and durability of the timber products.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Material Handling:
Receive, store, and organize timber materials and supplies.
Load and unload timber from delivery trucks.
Keep accurate inventory records and report any shortages or discrepancies.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures during all tasks.
Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
